Artist created ” The German Job Investor Award ” for Rhine-Main Business Club
According to Bernd Fischer who created a plaque for the German Job Investor Award for the Rhine-Main Business Club ” the whole mess with jobs started with the explusion of Adam and Eve from paradise”. Bernd Fischer uses the famous expulsion scene Michelangelo created to decorate the ceiling of the Sixtian chapel between 1509 and 1510 as his main motif. The Job Investor Award consists of an eloxal coated aluminium plate showing the aforementioned motif and the name of the particular award winner. The format is 87 by 30 cm.
For the Job Investor Award “Handicapped” Bernd Fischer created a very special plaque: With the aid of a finger alphabet, the visualised text shows a quotation by Gustav Heinemann. It reads “We see the quality of a society in how minorities are being treated”. A copy of the award is purchased by the Minister of Labour and installed in the entrance of the ministry in Berlin.
In 1980 Bernd Fischer created a sculpture for the Wirtschaftsclub Rhein-Main for their “Innovationspreis der deutschen Wirtschaft”. The award winners of this nation-wide held competition are honoured annually with a festive gala diner at the Alte Oper. They receive a copy of the original sculpture by the artist.
