In the first years I taught water color painting followed by figure drawing and painting.
Regular themes in my classes included suggestions for discerning and expanding one’s own specific perceptive ability, comparisons between various representational forms and qualities in the history of painting, the courage to be able to abandon desired goals if necessary in favor of one’s own, often undervalued ability. My wish and aim was to help develop individual talents and to arouse consciousness for artistic questions and achievements in the past and present.
